Vision:
- Targeted Growth – I will work with the city council and staff to update the comprehensive land use plan and city zoning standards while also continuing to focus on the preservation and enhancement of our historic downtown.
- Infrastructure Improvement – The city must continue to invest in infrastructure within the city that will address traffic congestion and ensure that city utilities and emergency services can be provided at the level our citizens deserve.
- Public Safety – I will continue to support our phenomenal first responders. I will continue to advocate to staff and build a fourth fire station to ensure that we can continue to provide critical services to our citizens. It is also important to continue to provide our police department and emergency dispatch with the resources they need to continue their excellent service to Wylie.
- Enhancing Quality of Life – Wylie has many different opportunities to expand services to the public that enhance their lives. New parks, sports fields, aquatic facilities, arts, and more have been discussed. It will be important to develop a plan to provide those opportunities we can that will have the greatest impact.
- Fiscal Responsibility – I have pushed hard to work on capping and lowering taxes for the residents and businesses of Wylie. No one should have to move because of taxes increasing faster than wages. I pledge to continue to work with staff and council to make tough but necessary decisions on how to best allocate resources while maintaining a balanced budget.
- Transparency – I will continue to provide updates to my constituents through Facebook while also welcoming anyone who would like to call, email or meet with me in person. I am willing to meet as a candidate/officeholder or officially as your Mayor.
